Its been rumored time and time again, but now I guess it is official. Visceral Game’s Dead Space Extraction, which previously had only been available on the Nintendo Wii, will be released on PlayStation 3.
The title was announced during Sony’s E3 conference. The PlayStation 3 version of the game will receive not only an HD-graphical update, but added PlayStation Move support as well. Rather than release the title as a retail release, as the Wii version was, Dead Space Extraction will be available through the PlayStation Network as well as being included in the PS3 Collector’s Edition of Dead Space 2.
In case you are not familiar with the title, Dead Space Extraction serves as a prequel to the Dead Space game(s0 that appeared on the 360, PS3, and PC. The title was released for the Wii and while receiving above average reviews, sold very, very poorly. Hopefully Visceral will see more success out of the updated version of the game.
