Devil's Third
The father of the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden series, Tomonobu Itagaki, has finally lifted the veil on the freshman project of Valhalla Game Studios. Devil’s Third will be the studio’s first title and is being developed for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game was revealed with a short gameplay trailer from Gametrailers.
Devil’s Third is an ultra violent shooter set in the world that is facing the after effects of “Kessler Syndrome”. Kessler Syndrome is a hypothetical situation created by the collision of low orbit satellites, making it impossible to explore beyond the planet’s atmosphere. Valhalla has been working closely with a team of Hollywood script writers in order to construct a very serious storyline for the project.
The game is very, very early in the developmental stage and Valhalla is receiving support and assistance from THQ, who will publish the title. The final version will contain both a single- and multiplayer aspect. According to the teaser trailer, the game will contain a mix of both sword- and gunplay, all leading to over the top gruesome action. Multiplayer playable characters are being designed for use in the game.
