More On: Xbox Live Arcade PSN Crazy Taxi Sonic Adventure
The Sega Dreamcast is coming back... well, the games are at least.

Earlier today, Sega officially announced that they would begin digitally distributing classic Sega Dreamcast titles on the Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network. The titles will begin rolling out this fall, in honor of the 11th anniversary of the system’s launch back in 1999 (9/9/99 to be precise). The first two games making their digital distribution debuts are Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi.

These two games, as well as other titles to be announced later, will be based completely on the Dreamcast incarnation of the game. The games will be receiving a boost in the visual resolutions, the sound systems utilized, and in the online functionality. All of the games will be given their own online leaderboards as well as all new Achievements and Trophies.

Hopefully Sega will be adding a few more titles to this list of expected releases next week. In the mean time, you can read the official announcement on the next page and view some of the first, official screenshots of both games below.
