CNBC confirms that Michael Jordan will be the cover athlete for
NBA 2K11, hitting stores on October 5th. Jordan recently was inducted into the Hall of Fame two years ago and he's been out of the league since 2003. Now, he's owner of the Charlotte Bobcats or to me, the guy that lives in my nightmares as I watched him shoot over Craig Ehlo and pump his fists in the air a few time after the shot goes in to advance to the next round of the playoffs.
Anyways, you'll be able to play as Jordan in the game, something I wish you could've done in a game like NBA Jam. 2K promises some few surprises besides Jordan's first appearance in a video game in over six years so we'll have to wait and see if anything comes out at E3. Still, good to see one of the greats making to the cover and that should be protection against any curse, which is really more prominent in EA games as Kobe's in the finals and he was the cover athlete of last year's game.
