I don’t know if “set” is the right word for it, but the release window has definitely been narrowed down to a very small time frame. According to
Gamespot, Namco Bandai has officially stated that
Splatterhouse is due for a Halloween release.
Considering that October 31 falls on a Sunday this year, it is likely that the game will be released on either October 26 or November 2, the Tuesday before or after the actual Halloween date. A Sunday release isn’t completely out of the question though as Nintendo is known for shipping games early and streetdating them for Sundays.
The game is shaping up to be a gore fest and the release on the dark holiday makes perfect sense. It is good to see such a classic title be brought back to life for a whole new generation of gamers... let’s just hope it does the original justice.
