One of the new features in Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands is the ability to unlock new costumes and bonus modes with Ubisoft's Uplay system. It's kind of an online fan club, connected to Ubisoft's own in-game achievement system that gives you Uplay rewards for special actions you pull off in their more recent games like Splinter Cell Conviction and Forgotten Sands. In the case of the latest Prince of Persia, you can unlock a time trial combat arena and the ability to play as Ezio Auditore from Assassin's Creed II. You can also unlock Malik, the Prince's brother, by texting PRINCE to 44144.
I really like this idea--I've always wanted Microsoft to use their achievement points for something besides a bragging number assigned to your Live profile, like exchanging them for small DLC rewards. It always felt like a feature they had more plans for but never developed all the way. With achievement systems becoming more common, it's cool that Ubisoft is actually letting you get rewards for showing dedication and skill at their games. Check out the video below for more info.

SAN FRANCISCO – May 25, 2010 – Today Ubisoft detailed how to receive two free skins for players of Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands on Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 system from Sony and PC. Players will be able to use the in-game interface to connect directly to Uplay Win to access the free skin of Ezio from Assassin’s Creed 2. And for a limited time, players can access the skin of the Prince’s brother, Malik, by texting PRINCE to 44144.
Uplay is Ubisoft's online destination where gamers are at the center of a connected gaming universe that has been developed around four primary services: Uplay Win, Uplay Help, Uplay Share and Uplay Shop. The Uplay Beta launched last year on Assassin’s Creed 2 with Uplay Win.
Uplay Win enables players to collect units based on their actions in the games and exchange them for rewards such as exclusive in-game content or digital items. Uplay Win Units can also be gathered cross-platform and are currently available for PlayStation 3 system, Xbox 360 and PC.
In Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands, exclusive in-game content such as a skin of Ezio from Assassin’s Creed 2 and access to a time attack arena mode are among the rewards offered through Uplay Win. For those who don't want to redeem their units right away, they can save them to use on many more upcoming Ubisoft titles.
