Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 until the end of the year.
The company is officially stating that the delay is being done in order to allow further development on the title and ensure the quality of the final product. The title has been under the microscope since it was first announced as many fans of the series have expressed issues with the direction of the IP in recent years. While many were / are excited about the return to the 2-dimensional roots, just as many are concerned with whether or not it can live up to the greatness of the Genesis originals.
Along with the announcement of the delay, Sega has also confirmed a long running rumor regarding the final platform for the game.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will in fact see release on Apple’s iPhone / iPod Touch platform(s). I think that we all knew that was coming though...
