It was announced earlier this week in an Ubisoft investor’s briefing that
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier would not be making its scheduled Holiday 2010 release. Citing concerns with a crowded marketplace, Ubisoft has decided to delay the game back until March 2011.
The delay is also being cited as giving the development team more time to “better realize their vision(s)”. This sort of delay is becoming rather common in the industry given the current competitive market, especially around the holidays. The move can be looked at as being as much of an economic decision as it is a technical one. Ubisoft still plans to reveal the game to the general public for the first time at the 2010 E3 conference.
