Wii Party
Nintendo has announced the next installment in the Wii “something” (a term coined by Iwata himself) series.
Wii Party was announced by Satoru Iwata at an investor meeting earlier this week in Japan. The new installment in the Wii game series aims to be the marquee party game in the industry.
The title is current being planned for 2011 and will contain numerous mini games that focus on multiplayer of up to 4 players. During the presentation, a short slide show was given outlining a few of the modes planned for the game. So far, they have announced:
-Teiban Party (Standard Party): 1-4 players, includes games like Bingo, Roulette, Mii-jan, Overseas Trip Game and a dice game called Sugoroku
-Pair Party: 2 players, includes Compatability Check, Balance Ship, and Mii Allignment
-Living Party: 2-4 players, no game specifically announced
Like all of the previous Wii “something”,
Wii Party will utilize the player’s Mii’s as the in game characters for all events. The game will likely be getting a huge reveal at this year’s E3 conference, which is only about a month away...
