Developer Fat Shark is bringing Nathan Spencer back for more action in
Bionic Commando Rearmed 2. Capcom and Fat Shark are adding a new chapter to the Bionic Commando series with an entirely new entry for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Arcade. The game, which is being targeted for a first quarter, 2011 release, will allow players to resume to role of Spencer and guide him as he embarks on a 3D side-scrolling adventure against new enemies led by General Sabo.
The game will be firmly rooted in the gameplay and style what we are all familiar with from the first (Rearmed) game. Your trusty bionic arm will be your main asset and the main tool that you will have to utilize in order to survive. Aside form the familiar tools of the trade, you will be getting new weapons and facing new foes as well as utilizing an entirely new aspect to the series: jumping. That is right, Nathan Spencer has (finally) learned to jump since we last saw him in classic form.
Improved graphics, models, environments, and gameplay as well as an improved 2-player cooperative mode are all going to be included included. Players can expect an entirely new and original sound track inspired by the sounds and feel of the original game... as in the NES-era title. The title is also seeing contribution from Massive Black, the art studio recently involved in such titles as BioShock 2, God of War 3, and InFamous.
