The LA Times reported on the small legal victory that No Doubt (or rather their legal representatives) won in a case against Activision. It seems the band was none too happy about the use of their digital avatars in
Band Hero. The four members of the band can be utilized when performing one of their songs, then "unlocked" and used when playing other artists' songs. The former being the point of contention. This "breach of contract" prompted the band's law suit against the video game publisher and has yielded some results. A LA County Superior Court Judge has ruled tentatively in the bands favor, but there is a counter-suit pending and many appeals before this legal battle reaches a conclusion.
