Select GameStop locations to host Splinter Cell Conviction parties

It's a good day to be a fan of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction for two reasons. 

First: Ubisoft, Microsoft, and GameStop have teamed up to create a nationwide event on April 1.  Ten locations throughout the US (including Boston, Chicago, NYC among others) will have the game's co-op missions available for play.  Gamers will also have chances to win all kinds of cool prizes.  Full details including locations and prizes are in the press release.

Second: Johnny Cash teams up with Sam Fisher to kick butt and chew bubble gum.  Apparently, there's no more bubble gum to be found in the new trailer Ubisoft released for Splinter Cell Conviction.  Check it out!

TOM CLANCY’S SPLINTER CELL CONVICTION EVENTS SCHEDULED NATIONWIDE ON APRIL 1

SAN FRANCISCO – March 30, 2010 – Ubisoft and partners Microsoft and GameStop are pleased to announce the official Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction debut on April 1, 2010. Celebrating the upcoming launch of this highly-anticipated game, releasing exclusively on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, first-to-play co-op sessions will be held at GameStop locations across the country and the Premiere celebrity launch event will take place in Hollywood, California.

Splinter Cell fans in the Los Angeles area are invited to Les Deux Nightclub in Hollywood, CA, to participate in first-to-play co-op sessions from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. PT. Select fans will be chosen to attend the celebrity red carpet Premiere event, beginning at 8 p.m. PT (ages 21+ only). Concurrent with the Premiere event in Hollywood, GameStop is hosting first-to-play co-op events at 10 store locations nationwide from 9:00 p.m. to midnight at the following locations:
