And the videos keep coming in! Funcom just released a new trailer for
The Secret World, this time showing some locations, characters, combat and monsters expanding on the teaser trailer released
last week.
It’s all finally coming together and looking like a game rather than the cinematic teases we’ve been receiving previous to this. Fortunately, the video does not let down from the hype created from said previous videos. I’m happy to see some very creative looking enemies, and some very detailed looking locations that are somehow pretty even in their gloomy appearances.
Durham, USA – March 26th, 2010 – Funcom is proud to reveal a brand-new video trailer for its upcoming modern-day massively multiplayer online game ‘The Secret World’. The video gives a unique glimpse into the game, showcasing elements such as locations, characters, group combat and monsters. Together with the teaser video released earlier this week, the new trailer is the first time Funcom has shown actual in-game footage. Previously the company has only released pre-rendered cinematic videos.
The mysteries are truly starting to unravel as we now reveal more and more concrete details, and in that regard The Secret World is definitely entering a whole new phase, says Trond Arne Aas, CEO of Funcom. The new video reveals locations, monsters, characters and gameplay, yet it is barely scratching the surface of what the game will deliver. The universe that we are creating in and around The Secret World is massive, with real-world locations, urban legends, myths and conspiracies. The Secret World is so much more than what we are showing in this video, and we are looking forward to giving gamers out there a perspective on the bigger picture in the months to come.
