Platinum Games unveils Vanquish

 Sega and Platinum Games have finally revealed the screenshots of their upcoming shooter Vanquish. The game, headed by Resident Evil director Shinji Mikami, is headed to both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation3 later this year in Japan. Set in the distant future, the game is said to be based (storyline-wise) on an attack of the United States by Russia. The game has been in development since 2007. The game itself looks very, very nice... but it is going to need a lot more than just pretty looks to succeed in today's market. Platinum Games is billing the titles as being much more fast paced than most other games in the genre with what they are calling a "high tension" battle system. Hopefully we will get so see more of the game soon...
