First details on Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands for Wii

It's been a while since the Wii has seen the Prince of Persia, with his last appearance on the console being the somewhat disappointing port of Rival Swords back in 2007. That's about to change with Forgotten Sands, an interquel that takes the series back into the Sands of Time trilogy. This game will explore the seven year gap between the first game and Warrior Within, explaining how the Prince goes from a carefree youth to a tortured, driven killer. Once again he'll have to harness the power of the Sands of Time to alter reality and keep himself alive.
I'm really looking forward to this game. The Sands trilogy is one of my favorite game series of all time, and to see Ubisoft building a version of this new game just for Wii warms my heart. From the screenshots below it looks like Ubi is definitely making this game pretty and taking advantage of the Wii's horsepower. It will also be nice to clear up some of the ambiguity between the first two games. The shift in theme and story was pretty jarring, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the Prince's character progression in a more nuanced light.
