While the GF100 cards made some appearances at CES 2010, the final names for what they will be called weren't released at the time. Well, through the
magic of Twitter, it seems we will have the names when the products goes on sale.
The first DirectX11 capable cards from big Green will be the
GeForce GTX 480 and
GeForce GTX 470. Yup, they're skipping 300 because that's just how powerful these things are! Let's hope the cards are as powerful as NVIDIA alludes them to with their naming convention because the delays have been long and frustrating for those wanting the latest and greatest from these guys.
