Yahoo gaming had an
interesting article up yesterday showing off the United States Air force’s latest “Super” computer. It is a collection of over 2,000
PlayStation 3s connected together called the "500 TeraFLOPS Heterogeneous Cluster". While it isn’t as powerful as a regular super computer, it isn’t nearly as expensive either. And what are they doing with all they power you ask? They aren’t playing MAG, but rather trying to simulate how the human brain processes information and recognizes the content of images.
