Rockstar announced overnight that
Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City will be making its way to the PC and PlayStation 3 on March 20, 2010. This is a bit of a surprise, as Microsoft paid $50 million dollars to get what was believed at the time
exclusive rights for the Xbox 360 to the two episodic contents (
The Lost and the Damned and
The Ballad of Gay Tony) that make up GTA: Episodes from Liberty City. Apparently, the contract was either a timed exclusive allowing for sale of the content after a full year (Lost and the Damned was released on Feb 17, 2009), or Rockstar renegotiated the contract and gave back some money to Microsoft. Regardless, this is a huge win for PS3 owners that had not been able to experience
two of the best 2009 DLC add-ons for any game.

In The Ballad of Gay Tony, players explore Liberty City’s high-end nightlife as Luis Lopez, struggling to balance the temptations of money and vice against loyalties to family and friends. Both episodes feature a slew of new vehicles and weapons, and each episode adds new activities including cage fighting, gang wars and BASE jumping.
