Ok, answer me honestly: am I going overboard with all of the
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars news stories? Seriously, it feels like I mention the game at least once a day; its easy to tell that this is one of my most anticipated games for 2010 and it should be high on the list of any fighting game fan... trust me. Well, straight from
Capcom's Unity Blog comes news of an all new mode included in the US release of the game. The Japanese game was filled with mini-games, on specific to each character in the game, that allowed the player to earn in game currency that they could use to "purchase" locked characters, videos, and stages for use in the game. The US version will not only include all new mini-games designed specifically for the new version and new characters of the game but an all new 2D shoot-em up in the same vein of the Capcom classics Legendary Wings and Commando.
This new shooter, entitled TvC: Ultimate All-Shooters will consist of four playable characters: Ryu, PTX-40A, Ken the Eagle, and Tekkaman and is based in the Lost Planet universe. We aren't talking about a generic little game here either as the game will include branching paths and stages, mini bosses, full bosses, and "MEGA" bosses, up to 4-player cooperative play modes, and character specific attacks and supers. It looks as if Capcom is trying to add a little something for everyone in this game. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Star launches on January 26, 2010 but you can check out the Japanese trailer for the new mode below...
