YG.com upgrades Aion database

I’ve never played Aion, but as an ex-World of Warcraft player I know the reliance on database sites (like wowhead.com) when playing MMOs.

If you do play Aion and have a slight dependency on those database sites, you’ll be happy to hear that we’ve received some information regarding one such site and new upgrades. But then I got dazzled by big numbers: “3.5 million subscribers in Asia alone”!!! And: “a record 400,000 pre-orders prior to its Western launch”!!! Pretty dazzling, right?

Before I get side-tracked and get into some Guinness records, we’ll get back to the news. YG.com has expanded their Aion database list, as well as upgraded the forum toward more customization for members. Here’s a quick rundown on the new tidbits:

• Show off with Add Character feature. YG.com has enabled an easy and simple 2-step “Add Character” feature that will allow players to transport their favorite characters outside the servers and into the eyes of admiring players.

• Sig up with Aion art via the Signature Generator. With the new “Signature Generator”, players can let their characters be known to the world by way of fantastic banners using Aion art.

• Search on Enhanced Databases. The upgrade also adds more content to its extensive database collection, including: Skills from all eight classes, with full use descriptions and valuable acquisition tips; Abyss Ranks that will be key to accessing unique skills and a stronger gaming ego; Gathering Sources for all of Atreia including corresponding node levels and drop percentages; and Emote codes to help expand player expressions.
