With the increasing cost of game developing it looks like game companies are going to try and outsource the work to companies overseas, at least that's what Businessweek is
reporting. Given all of the problems that the IT world has had with shipping boring business applications overseas I'd be interested to see if the gaming industry has better luck with something as dynamic as game code. I've never had a good experience with outsourcing in the past as the money you save in development costs is spent on re-work and code fixes.
