With exclusives for specific consoles becoming scarcer by the year due to costs, we are now getting more and more timed exclusives or exclusive versions/episodes to differentiate between the console versions. The latest to join that club is EA’s
Dante’s Inferno, which will be getting a “Divine Edition” specifically for the PlayStation 3. Last week,
it was announced that the game would get a two-week head start on the demo on PSN vs. Xbox Live, and now we find out that the PS3 versions is getting a few goodies for free.
The "divine" in this edition adds developer commentaries, a digital art book, game soundtrack and a digital Longfellow translation of Dante Alighieri’s Inferno, included in the standard $59.99 price. So in essence, this is a collector’s edition for the price of a standard edition. But what it doesn’t have (and most gamers would prefer over throw-in stuff) is any exclusive gameplay levels or options.
