EverQuest II Sentinels Fate available for pre-order today

EverQuest II’s next expansion pack, Sentinels Fate, is officially available for pre-order with a release date of February 16th, 2010 and digital launch date of February 23rd, 2010. If you feel like coughing up the extra $30, you can pre-order to get your hands on the Collectors Edition instead.

EverQuest II Sentinels Fate will include all the typical MMO additions you would expect from an expansion. Specific to Sentinels Fate is a new level cap set at 90, two new zones (The Sundered Frontier and Stonebrunt Highlands), 400 new quests to complete, 12 new dungeons to explore, 2,000 new pieces of armor, weaponry and items and more. The Collectors Edition will come with a unique mount, pet, in-game armor, and the DVD of EverCracked! The Phenomenon of EverQuest documentary. The documentary released its first installment today, in fact, and I’ve embedded the video from IGN for your viewing pleasure.

The expansion, scheduled to be available exclusively at retail on February 16, 2010, followed by the digital launch on February 23, 2010, is an all-in-one compilation pack which transports players into a universe of legend and lore where adventures are just the beginning. Both retail and digital versions will be available for the suggested retail price of $39.99 (plus applicable taxes). Today also marks the debut of the epic documentary EverCracked! The Phenomenon of EverQuest available exclusively on IGN.com, the leading videogames website. The five part weekly series, produced by Jace Hall, chronicles the trials and tribulations leading to the development, launch and success of the genre-defining massively multiplayer online game which celebrated its tenth anniversary in March 2009.
