Warhammer Online takes part in the Halloween festivities

More live events are being announced as Halloween nears. Starting October 23rd and running through November 2nd, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is hosting Daemon Moon Rising: an in-game event that will feature special quests, a Realm vs. Realm scenario, and reward items.

The first of said special quests is The Daemon Mask event quest that sets you on a task of collecting the possessed masks that have been bound to various menacing daemons. After killing the daemons that have been marked with these masks, you’ll get an opportunity to come upon the rare Magus Daemonarium item, along with a souvenir Daemon Mask for all your troubles.

The Dameonball Rally Public Quest is more PvP in style and involves a battle between the Order and Destruction. Gain control of the Daemon Cradle to set the nightmares against the opposing faction.

Mythic Entertainment and EA have taken care of the PvE and the PvP elements with the two previously mentioned quests, but for a chance at some Realm vs Realm during the special holiday event they’ve come up with Wake the Dead – the High Pass Cemetery RvR, which will be open to characters of all tiers.

Beside the quests that will take place in this event, you’ll also get a chance at various rewards. These will include masks and items like the arcane Malleius Daemonarium, a talisman component, and the Fiendfang that will give your character extra bonuses. All around good Halloween fun planned for Warhammer this year.

Daemon moon Shines on Warhammer online for Special Halloween Live Event



The Moon Rises and Chaos Reigns October 23rd through November 2nd



FAIRFAX, Virginia – October, 15 2009 – Mythic Entertainment™, an Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) studio, today announced that the critically acclaimed MMORPG, Warhammer® Online: Age of Reckoning® (WAR), will host a special live event, Daemon Moon Rising, for a limited time during the 2009 Halloween season. Daemon Moon Rising, will run in-game from October 23rd through November 2nd, and will feature the Daemon Mask event quest, a new Daemonball Rally Public Quest, a special Realm vs. Realm™ scenario, and treats both fair and foul.



In Daemon Moon Rising, a fiendish sub-cult of Chaos artificers have bound savage daemons into innocuous carnival masks and smuggled them into the Empire. The Daemon Mask event quest will task players with collecting these possessed masks and defeating the daemons bound within. As a reward for halting the menace of the masks, players will receive a souvenir Daemon Mask and a chance to discover the rare and powerful Magus Daemonarium within a sack of sinister secrets.



The Daemonball Rally Public Quest will pit players of Order and Destruction versus one another in a battle to seize the Daemon Cradle and empower the essence of nightmares against their opponents.

Players can also don their masks and participate in “Wake the Dead”, a special running of the High Pass Cemetery RvR scenario available to characters of all tiers during the Daemon Moon Rising live event.



Other fiendish rewards available to event participant include: the Fiendfang with bonus to healing, damage, renown, and XP; the Face of the Unborn mask; the Meatcleaver's mask; the Face-Eater’s mask; the arcane Malleus Daemonarium; and special talisman components imbued with the might of Chaos itself.
