Those little rumors of a 250GB HDD equipped Xbox 360 are indeed true as Activision announced a limited edition console featuring that and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 bundled in. You didn't think Microsoft was going to leave the $399 area for a game console did you? And this is what it's going to cost you for a bigger HDD and probably one of the best games of the year.
You can actually pre-order it from Amazon right now for the $399 price tag and it will be released on the game's launch day of November 10th. Featuring a special paint job and face plate, the setup will also come with two wireless controllers but only one headset.
When you break it down you get a pretty good deal. Taking the Elite as the standard right now selling for $299, the game will run you $60 plus taxes so that knocks it up to $360+ right there. Throw in an extra controller which runs $40 by itself and you're already at the limited edition's price. Now add another 130GB worth of HDD space and you got a nice, nice bundle if you don't have a console yet and was planning on picking one up and Modern Warfare 2.
I'll throw Microsoft and Activision a thumbs up on this one for not gouging the public on this bundle.
