While the game isn't due out for a few more weeks, it seems a few folks snagged a copy of
Halo: ODST a little early. Well, there was some talks of Microsoft banning folks who play the game online if they did so before the official release date but that's not so. A
tweet from Stephen Toulouse, who is the Head of Policy and Enforcement for Xbox LIVE, you can go on and play without fear of the ban hammer as long as it is a legit copy.
This isn't the first nor the last time a game gets sold from a retailer early. It happens and thus I'm glad to see Microsoft isn't putting the kibosh on those that got it early. It's not their fault the store employee wasn't aware of the fact the game shouldn't be on sale yet. Hell, if I had a chance to pick up a popular game a few weeks early you bet I'd be laying my plastic down to pick it up. By the way, you can check out
Chuck's impressions of ODST at E3.
