The folks at Giant Bomb have done a fantastic job of vetting through the Wing Commander movie and breaking down everything that was wrong with it. Of course the big irony (which they point out) is that series creator Chris Roberts has full creative control over the movie and sold the entire series down the tubes for his chance to bring the game to the big screen. I was a huge fan of the series (
Wing Commander III was pretty fantastic) so the movie really was a major disappointment for me and still burns even a decade later.
Worth a viewing if only for the staring contest at the end of the video.
