UGO's Games Blog has
the details if you want to play James Cameron's
Avatar in 3D at home. First up you need the game of course on the PS3, 360, or PC. Sorry Wii folks, you are left out of this one. Second, you need a TV that supports 3D and there are TVs out there right now that are 3D capable. So far so good. Third, you'll need 3D glasses as there's not a cheap and easy way to do 3D without them yet. Finally, you'll need an HDMI port on your device so that you can output a 1080p signal. Ruh Roh! Early Xbox 360 buyers such as yours truly only have the component option available.
It is techinically possible (I looked up a few sources) to do 1080p via component but
AACS does not allow it as it maxes out at 1080i. Since the game requires 1080p for 3D well us early Xbox 360 owners are out of luck. I guess it is going to be the PC version for me if I want to experience Cameron's vision in 3D.
