It looks like we're going to be getting a movie based on
Dead Space after all as the flick was
announced last week during the Comic Con madness. Eagle Eye director DJ Caruso is attached to the film
Given that the game was heavily influenced by movies like Event Horizon and the Alien series I guess you could say the IP has gone full cycle. Of course we wouldn't be a gaming website if we didn't bring up the fact that movies based on games are usually fairly terrible but I do think this one has a bit of potential. Not a lot but a little given the linear nature of the game and the relatively constrained story.
I do wonder if they will keep all the gore from the game or if it will be sanitized for the big screen. What do you think? Are we on the fast train for FAILTOWN or is there a chance this movie could be decent? Let us know in the comments.
