Weekly Rock Band DLC features Blink-182, Weezer and KISS

Next week, Harmonix and MTV Games will be dropping three track packs from KISS, Weezer and Blink-182 in addition to a single from Damone onto the
Rock Band music store for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The packs will be $5.49/440 MS points per or $1.99/160 MS points for each individual song.

In addition, the Wii is playing catch-up, as Mötley Crüe’s Dr. Feelgood album and tracks from Kings of Leon, Rancid, Rise Against and others will finally become available, bringing the Wii library to 425+ songs. Pricing is $2.00 per track, with no discount for the packs or the Dr. Feelgood album.
The PSP also is getting some love for Rock Band Unplugged, as the James Gang’s “Funk #49” and Alien Ant Farm’s “Smooth Criminal” will become available for $1.99 each.
The tracks for the Xbox 360 and Wii will be available on July 28th, while the PS3 and PSP tracks will be available on July 30th.

Cambridge, Mass. – July 24, 2009 - Harmonix and MTV Games today announced that summer tour mates Weezer and Blink-182, as well as also-touring KISS, will have three packs of songs added to the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content next week, along with a single from Damone, for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system.
Additionally, tracks from Kings of Leon, Rancid, Rise Against, Mötley Crüe and more will be available in the Wii™ Rock Band Music Store, and tracks from James Gang and Alien Ant Farm will be available for Rock Band Unplugged.
New Rock Band DLC Additions for Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 Systems
Weezer and Blink-182 kick off a tour today that runs through October. Next week, three packs from the two bands will join already released fan favorites like “El Scorcho,” “Say It Ain’t So” and “Buddy Holly” from Weezer; and “All the Small Things” and “Dammit” from Blink-182. Available next week in the Rock Band Music Store will be “Down” and “Feeling This,” from Blink-182’s 2003 self-titled album; and “The Rock Show,” from the band’s 2001 release, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket; as well as “My Name Is Jonas” and “Undone – The Sweater Song,” from Weezer’s debut 1994 album, and “Pork and Beans,” from the band’s 2008 album. Three live songs – “100,000 Years,” “Deuce” and “Parasite” – from KISS, who are on their Alive/35 tour to commemorate the band’s 35th anniversary, will also be released in the Rock Band Music Store next week, as will “Out Here All Night” from Damone.

These tracks come from the catalog of Rock Band music already released to owners of Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 system. With the addition of these tracks, there are now more than 425 tracks in the Wii Rock Band Music Store.

Downloadable content for Wii is purchased via the in-game Rock Band Music Store using Wii Points purchased through the Wii Shop Channel and can be downloaded to the system memory or to an SD card for additional storage. The tracks stream directly from the SD card for seamless play.
There are now more than 745 tracks available to date via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/music). Rock Band continues to satisfy music fans’ and gamers' voracious appetite for rock with more than 45 million paid downloads since its launch Nov. 20, 2007.
