Shacknews is
reporting that Activision has pushed back their Soviet time traveling FPS
Singularity to March 2010 to keep the holiday space free for
Modern Warfare 2. The move makes a lot of sense as
Modern Warfare 2 is going to be competing with
Halo 3: ODST this fall (and a few other titles) and moving the title to the early part of 2010 will make it easier to launch the new franchise.
It's worth noting that Sony did the same thing with
Resistance 2 and
Killzone 2 last year and that worked out fairly well.
