One of the great things about the original
StarCraft as well as
Warcraft games was the ability to setup a LAN to play. Without having to rely on an external server, you could get a game up and running in many closed network places such as campus computer labs. So, it's a surprising that in an
interview with IncGamers, VP of game design Ron Pardo revealed that there will be no LAN support for
StarCraft II. None. Nada. Zilch. Am I disappointed? A little but these are different days with broadband being more prevalant than in the past. Still, those with closed networks from the outside world might feel the pain of not being able to play
StarCraft II with buddies.
