After pushing aside all the shiny bells, whistles and long awaited upgrades, there is a very important reason to upgrade your iPhone or iPod Touch to
iPhone OS 3.0. Under the hood, Apple also pushed across around 40 patches for security vulnerabilities impacting almost all previous versions of the iPhone OS, including the iPod Touch 1.1 through 2.2.1. The updates are predominately to defend against malicious code that can be used from hackers after downloading and opening images, files or visiting compromised websites. Now that the cat is out of the bag, I wouldn't wait too long to upgrade, even for the $9.95 for touch users. For
