I didn't catch this last Friday (4/10) and it may not have been publicized. But apparently, the majority of the
Edge-Online editorial staff resigned effective Friday and are pursuing other interests. From time to time, we have linked to stories from that team including when it was called Next Gen. Well, Colin Campbell of GameBizBlog.com
delves into the reasons why he, Kris Graft and Rob Crossley departed from Edge-Online in his blog. According to Campbell, it essentially boils down to is an English company trying to take a predominately North American website and marrying it to the old-school print media stylings. I agree with Campbell here and think that Edge will have its hands full continuing to provide what Next Gen had created.
