Seeing as it was announced months before Rock Band 2 hit store shelves, we knew that it was only a matter of time before the Axl Rose-led Guns N' Roses album, Chinese Democracy, found its way to the Rock Band music store. This is the long-awaited album that took Axl and his gang more than a dozen years to complete. And even when it did come out, nobody seemed to care. The music critics dogged it for not living up to the hype, the general music consumer was too interested in Akon and Britney Spears, and for those of us with only a passing interest in the band, this album felt like the final nail in the Guns N' Roses coffin.
However, I have something to admit: I actually liked the Guns N' Roses song in Rock Band 2 (Shackler's Revenge). I found the song to be silly and poorly written, but catchy and fun to play. Perhaps I'll like the rest of the album? Starting next Tuesday, it looks like I'll have the opportunity to judge the other songs for myself. Today Harmonix announced that the remaining 13 Chinese Democracy songs will all be available for download next Tuesday on the Xbox 360 and Wii or Thursday on the PSN. You read that right, for the first time ever, Wii owners will be getting these songs at the exact same time as everybody else. The tracks will remain $2 per song or $19.99 for the full album. Unfortunately Wii owners won't be able to buy the full album and get the deal, but they do get the songs on the same day. Below you will find the list of Chinese Democracy songs ready for download.
