Here we go again. It seems some companies don't like to listen to consumers and how they hate restrictive DRM.
The Chronicles of RIddick: Assault on Dark Athena has a
3 install limit for the PC and if you need to install some more you have to call Atari. Well, that's pretty sucky if I must say so myself. EA seems to have learned as they are backing off of this type of thing starting with the
Sims 3. 2K Games had to release a patch or two to ease up on
BioShock's DRM. Atari still wants to try to hang on to old horrendous methods of copy protection. Companies should know these don't stop true pirates and only hurt the consumer who do purchase the game. Maybe Atari will learn quickly that this isn't the way to go and issue a patch to alleviate this.
